Mechanical engineering serves as the foundation for various industrial fields and plays an integral role in shaping the future. Over the past 60 years, the School of Mechanical Engineering at Korea University has produced over 6,000 talented individuals who are making significant contributions in their respective fields. We are committed to cultivating core talent with admirable character traits to help our nation effectively navigate the rapidly evolving industrial landscape and secure sustainable development.

Until recently, the COVID-19 pandemic hindered both faculty members and students from pursuing their academic goals, thus adversely affecting the learning environment and campus activities. Now that the situation has finally stabilized, it is imperative that we all advance further by fostering effective collaboration and communication.

I sincerely hope that the School of Mechanical Engineering will spearhead the noble cause of creating a better and more prosperous world by proactively interacting with multiple educational and research institutions at home and abroad, cultivating top-tier researchers, and leveraging innovative disciplines and technologies to address global challenges and promote human welfare.
